Coming soon…

The move and more excuses…

Well I officially fell off the blogging train over the summer! I had good excuses, many weddings, and a big move to Toronto took up 100% of my time and energy. However I am settled now in my new city (come visit!), and getting back on track, so expect lots of blog posts to follow shortly!

Katie and Cory had such a fun wedding I decided to start here.  🙂

Hair – Hills Bowtique, Make up – Vicky Mina, and awesome second shooting by Amanda Walker

Lauren | Shoot for Iron Salon

Nathan MacNeil of Iron Salon is a hair god! When he called and said he had a beauty we had to shoot, I grabbed my camera. He wasn’t wrong, Lauren is ridiculously gorgeous, I honestly couldn’t get over it! She also happens to be an uber talented make up artist in Ottawa, so I hope we work together again!

Lauren x 2 | Boudoir Photographer

Lauren is a super talented hair stylist, and make up artist that I love working with , check out her work, seriously awesome…

This is her second shoot (first shoot here), and we wanted to make it a bit different and focus more on a pin up feel.

Lauren is already naturally ridiculously stunning,  but for the shoot she had the aid of some other talented ladies, Sasha Andrews did her make up, and co-worker Mischaela Richter from Bowtique Hair and Make up styled her hair.

We set up shop in the super funky/modern Alt Hotel, and had a lot of fun!

Patty and Shay | Destination Wedding Photographer

Patty and Shay had the most beautiful family and friend DIY wedding in Ottawa. Every aspect of their amazing wedding came together at the hands of those closest to them. No detail was over looked, everything was reflective of the life Patty and Shay have built for themselves in Ottawa. The ceremony was even preformed by a friend, everything was thought of to keep their day special.

The LOVE for these two was overwhelming, and the love they share with each other was evident in every photo I took that day.

I am so thankful Patty and Shay had me come up to Ottawa to photograph their special day!  Also what a knock-out couple, enjoy the pics!

Brent and Chelsea | PEI Wedding Photographer

When Jennifer Clark called us from Kiss the Bride we got excited! A beautiful PEI wedding, at the gorgeous Delta Prince Edward, organized by really talented people, we’re in!

Brent and Chelsea came in from Saskatchewan with their adorable daughter Ava, and had an amazing wedding! I loved all of them as soon as I meet them, and their awesome families.

Here is a peek into their day..

Thanks again to Kiss the Bride for connecting us to Chelsea and Brent, and Amanda Walker for being an excellent second shooter.

Alabama Love | Destination Wedding Photographer

This year Amanda and I hit up WPPI in Las Vegas, and meet some amazing people, and fantastic photographers.  Breanna of Say Bre Photography was one of those awesome people! She mentioned she had this beautiful farm in Birmingham, Alabama… well you know I had to see that!!! This is Breanna and her fab husband Bryant at their farm Hepzibah Farms, and yes it’s as adorable as it looks! Love these two!

We are not dress trashing | Halifax wedding photographer

Calling all brides, get back into your dress and let’s have some fun!! You probably paid a fortune for it, and you look like a goddess in it, so put it back on. We don’t have to ruin it, or we totally can… What do you want that you didn’t get on the day of? Or just for fun, let’s do this 🙂

I was lucky enough to shoot Samantha and Dan’s gorgeous backyard wedding last summer, and was super pumped to photograph beautiful Sam again. I mean look at this girl! Insane! We started planning this shoot months ago, and surprisingly the date worked out , and the weather held up, and the blossoms were in full bloom in Windsor. Who doesn’t love to visit the Valley in the spring, it’s a romantic spot all on it’s own.

As a bride-to-be myself I am completely overwhelmed by the amazing talent in the wedding industry in Nova Scotia. Bride and groom’s can have it all, and use stellar local talent. I decided to get a few of my favourites to collaborate on this shoot with me, to make it extra special. So a HUGE HUGE thank you to these ridiculously talented ladies. Please check them all out, they’re amazing!

Lauren Arbuckle – Hair

Allison Kirby – Make Up

Chelsea Lee Flowers – Flowers

Something Borrowed Vintage Rentals – Props/ Decor items

OH DINA! – Headpiece

City Girl Cakes – Cake

Look at that amazing City Girl cake!!!! I’ve eaten more than a piece or two in the past as well, DELICIOUS!

storyboard002storyboard003storyboard004storyboard005storyboard006storyboard014

Also just to note poor Sam was frozen, but such a trooper! Beautiful and ridiculously sweet!

storyboard007storyboard008

That bouquet blew me away, and it smelled divine! Chelsea Lee always comes up with the most amazing designs. I am constantly blown away!

storyboard009storyboard011storyboard012

A better shot of the amazing detail Nicole McInnis puts into her OH DINA! unique hand crafted pieces. Seriously she was sewing and creating while we chatted about the shoot, it was amazing to see her in action!

These L.O.V.E letters from Something Borrowed Vintage Rentals are going to light up a lot of beautiful weddings this summer!

storyboard019storyboard020

Another thank you to Lauren Arbuckle and Allsion Kirby who worked on site (oh yeah, like in the field with a power pack! roughing it!) to create these beautiful looks. Now that is being a pro!  They were awesome, even picked some dandelions! Also a thank you to Amanda Walker for her super assisting!
